On Sunday 29th April 2018, Nadeem Dalvi, Ethan Hosken, Yash Singh, Ibrahim Kulkarni and Isa Kulkarni were crowned champions of the National Schools Badminton Championships. The Parks Trust Launches New, Regular Walks for All Abilities Plus Walks for Dog Owners

The Parks Trust, the self-financing charity that manages and maintains over 6,000 acres of green space across Milton Keynes, is launching two new regular walks from this month. Discovery Strolls will be held on the third Tuesday of every month, starting from Tuesday 17th April at Great Linford Manor Park at 2pm. Taking place at different locations across the city including Caldecotte Lake and Wolverton Mill, these will be short walks with plenty of stops and toilet facilities available on site. Whitespace Studio banishes the January blues with random acts of kindness

This morning, on what is considered ‘Blue Monday’ and the most depressing day of the year, Whitespace Yoga & Wellbeing Studio took to Stony Stratford High Street to spread kindness by handing out envelopes containing £10 to passers by.  Recipients were asked to spend the £10 to make a small act of kindness - a good deed such as paying for someone else’s parking, buying a stranger a coffee, donating to a charity or buying a meal for someone homeless.  It’s during this post-Christmas period that we often feel the weight and pressures of everyday life, and it’s easy to forget about doing something nice for others. Sport England funds Age UK Milton Keynes to help older adults get active

Age UK Milton Keynes has been given £71,964 National Lottery funding from Sport England to run a two-year Walking Befrienders project to help reduce the number of inactive older adults.[i] Sport England has put tackling inactivity at the heart of its strategy Towards An Active Nation and launched the Active Ageing fund to tackle inactivity in the over 55s. Mental Health experts share knowledge with MK schools

Headteachers and governors from schools across Milton Keynes heard how they can promote a safe and stable environment for children and young people today (Wednesday 12 July) when they came together at a conference focussing on children’s mental health. The event, organised by Milton Keynes Council, was attended by more than 160 delegates and included key note speeches from nationally renowned experts in the field Natasha Devon MBE, and Jane Case, Hub Manager of YoungMinds.
