Decorating and building supplies company Kent Blaxill opened their new 3,500 sq ft store on Erica Road, Stacey Bushes Trading Centre in Milton Keynes last week.
This prestigious family firm has over 175 years’ experience in working with both professional and DIY home markets and provides a wide range of quality decorating products. Mayor of Milton Keynes, David Hopkins, joined the Kent Blaxill team to officially cut the opening ribbon.
The new branch continues the Kent Blaxill tradition of supplying some of the industry’s finest names. This includes an extensive range of paints and related products, with a strong focus on designer paints including Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Paint and Paper Library, Mylands, Designers Guild, Fired Earth and Zoffany as well as trusted trade brands such as Dulux, Crown and Armstead. Professionals can also enjoy a daily decorative materials delivery service.
Simon Blaxill, Kent Blaxill’s Managing Director, said: “The new Milton Keynes branch is a great location for us and the next logical step when extending our branch network”. He continued, “Kent Blaxill always want to open branches where the community is vibrant and growing. New Manager, Tony Altieri added “We are excited to be creating 4 new jobs initially with 2 full-time and 2 part-time posts and Kent Blaxill always look to employ the very best staff for every branch as our industry knowledge is what sets our service apart.”
Simon Blaxill continued, “Our products are aimed at the decorating professional but we also want to attract a discerning retail customer who sources the very best products for their exquisite home. However, the success of the branch will hinge not only on the products sold but on the service we provide and relationships formed locally. Our staff have a superb understanding of what today’s customers need and offer expert advice on products and services, including ‘brush-out’ boards to help customers decide on the perfect colour” said Simon, who is from the sixth generation of Kents and Blaxills to run the company.
“It is really important to us to continue the ethos of our family firm which focuses heavily on building relationships with customers by offering service, quality and value and we look forward to building a strong relationship with Milton Keynes.”
