£70k Milton Keynes Business Centre refit sees delighted businesses benefit from improved and extended office space
Posted 8th July 2019An ambitious £70,000 renovation project to create improved facilities for clients at Capital Space’s Milton Keynes Business Centre has been completed on time, on budget – and with customers delighted with the result.
“The renovations were designed to give our customers more of what they need to ensure the space works as effectively as possible for their growing businesses,” said Milton Keynes Business Centre manager, Matt Roberts. “This is a renovation that’s about substance as well as style. The new lighting and décor certainly give MK Business Centre fresh appeal, while the impact of having a larger ‘meet-and-greet’ area has been immediate – it’s just so much more welcoming, professional and convenient for everyone.”
“The increased space in the reception area helps us massively because it’s the waiting hub for any candidates we’re interviewing. When there are several of them, they can be waiting here for a period of time and it creates that all-important good first impression,” commented Adam Lamb, of Focus IT Recruitment.
For Tim Daily of the Mortgage Solutions Centre, it wasn’t just about keeping clients happy, but about keeping staff happy, too: “The revamped space is beautiful – certainly more welcoming for visitors, but a nicer environment for those of us who work here day-to-day, too.”
The renovations have also been welcomed by the team supporting the local MP, Iain Stewart. As Keith McLean, who heads up his office, puts it: “The revitalised space is more professional and welcoming, reinforcing the impression of entrepreneurism and commercial success.”
The make-over, which began on 6 May, has seen an existing outdoor walkway re-routed to lead to a new external porch and draft lobby, providing a welcoming and convenient entrance to the building, and an improved reception that offers a larger meet-and-greet space for customers and visitors.
A small breakout area and meeting room have also been created, with new LED lighting, carpets and decoration added throughout the reception building. Meanwhile, a purpose-built postal storeroom for the centre’s business support team will enable on-site staff to support Capital Space customers even more efficiently and effectively.
