Discover what’s in store at warehouse open day

Posted 26th October 2023

Remember those stores where you could buy anything from a candle to a packet of nails and a shelf bracket? Most shut up shop many years ago, but Hardware For You is an exception. This thriving business is well known to trades people, but an open day promises to catch the eye of locals who live and work nearby.

What lies behind the doors of Hardware For You’s warehouse might come as a surprise to people who live and work in Newport Pagnell.
But things are about to change. Owner Sue Kokosinska is throwing open the doors at Unit 74 at the Interchange Business Centre in Howard Way for an open event. Visitors should be prepared to be impressed.

This is not one of those companies that simply sells one line of products. At Hardware For You there is a breath-taking range of products from doorbells and handles to fairies for the garden alongside taps, tea towels, keyrings and cake moulds.

The wide choice of stock is down to the eclectic taste of Sue, who started the business more than 20 years ago. Since then, the company has grown through sales online and, in particular, Amazon. Now Sue is extending an invitation to people who live and work in the area who would like to see if anything catches their eye.

Sue said: “I source all the products and like to get something totally different. I am not in to doing cheap and cheerful. I believe in the saying, ‘you get what you pay for’.”

This means that customers can expect ranges like Emma Ball, which specialises in charming, quirky designs, and one of the UK’s leading kitchen and home textile brands, Cooksmart.

An extensive selection of festive products may help others looking to do some early Christmas shopping. Browse candles, cushions, coasters, tealights, glittery wine bottle covers and locally made wooden candle holders.

Sue said: “We really do have something for everyone. I am sure people who come to the open day will be surprised at just how much choice there is in the warehouse. I am sure there is something that will catch their eye.”

And not only will it mean buying direct will save postage costs, to add an extra bonus Sue is offering a 5 per cent discount on any purchases on the day.

The open days will be taking place on 3rd and 4th November from 9am – 4pm. Address: Unit 74, Interchange Business Centre, Howard Way, Newport Pagnell MK16 9PY.
