In a heartwarming move, Funstation teams up with Rays of Sunshine, pledging support through donations and promoting sustainability via Eco Plush toys.

Funstation, the UK’s premier family leisure destination, has made a generous contribution of £5,000 to Rays of Sunshine, a charity committed to bringing joy to children facing severe illnesses. This collaboration emphasises not only a shared mission to enrich children’s lives but also to make a positive environmental impact.

The support from Funstation doesn’t end with a donation. The company is excited to announce a special VIP Day on 29th August at Xscape, Milton Keynes, dedicated to Daisy-May and her family, who previously benefited from Rays of Sunshine’s heartwarming initiatives. The day aims to gift Daisy-May with a memorable VIP experience, shedding light on the remarkable efforts by Rays of Sunshine.

In a move showcasing environmental responsibility, Funstation introduces the Eco Plush toys in its claw machines, a nationwide endeavour driven by Bacta, the representative body for the UK’s amusement sector. These toys are fashioned entirely from recycled materials, with each toy being a new lease of life for nearly nine used plastic bottles. Additionally, 50p from each toy sold is earmarked for Rays of Sunshine, allowing the charity to further its mission.

James Miller, Funstation’s Managing Director, noted the essence of the collaboration: “At the heart of Funstation is the joy of shared experiences. Partnering with Rays of Sunshine underscores this sentiment and serves as a reminder that the joy isn’t universal. Together with our valued customers, we aim to augment the admirable work Rays of Sunshine undertakes.”

Davinia Batley from Rays of Sunshine lauded the partnership, citing Funstation and Bacta’s unwavering support over the years. Their kind contributions and gestures like the forthcoming day for Daisy-May add immeasurable joy to the lives of children in challenging circumstances.

Echoing the sentiment, John White of Bacta celebrated Funstation’s dual contributions – both financial and experiential, further highlighting the company’s role in the collective efforts to support Rays of Sunshine.

The 29th of August is poised to be a day filled with unparalleled experiences for Daisy-May. Activities planned include engaging gaming sessions at Funstation, a golf round at Volcano Falls Golf, a delightful meal at Daisy-May’s favourite, Pizza Express, and a concluding visit to Gravity.

In aligning with Rays of Sunshine, Funstation envisions a dual goal of fostering joy in deserving children’s lives while underscoring the significance of sustainable endeavours.
