MyMiltonKeynes – the Milton Keynes Business Improvement District – has moved into its new home at intu Milton Keynes.
Now operating from the heart of the town – in a unit just outside of the centre’s boulevard – MyMiltonKeynes continue their hard work to make central Milton Keynes a safe and enjoyable place to live and work.
Their work includes organising events in partnership with Milton Keynes Council for the residents of Milton Keynes, such as their successful Spooky Halloween Drive-in cinema in October, which saw over 1900 cars and raised more than £9500 for MK Food Bank. The BID have also just announced their new ‘Festive Flix’ drive-in cinema this December with more details to follow soon. These two events have been a great way of driving safe footfall in Central Milton Keynes.
Melanie Beck, Chief Executive of MyMiltonKeynes said: “We were delighted to move into the heart of the city centre and in particular the Retail and Leisure areas. The new offices at intu Milton Keynes give us the opportunity to showcase the work of the BID through the on-pavement visibility, and to encourage people to drop in and talk to us about any concerns or ideas for the future of Central Milton Keynes.”
Arriving just after the centre’s impressive new Next Beauty & Home store, MyMiltonKeynes was joined by the return of Magical Story, a seasonal Christmas decoration shop near H&M – the Après Ski Bar in Oak Court, which invites friends and family to enjoy drinks and a bite to eat in a private wooden booth – and The Indie Collective, a pop-up inside the former Pret unit that showcases a range of products from independent businesses.
Both Magical Story, the Après Ski Bar and The Indie Collective will reopen in December when non-essential shopping and dining-in resumes – which will also see Souv-Lucky Day – a Greek food operator – and menswear fashion brand, Blue Inc, move into the shopping centre.
