Run the Rightmove MK marathon alongside Olympic legend Kelly Holmes, with On the Move

Posted 5th December 2019

Rightmove are looking for runners of all abilities to lace up and join record-breaking hero Kelly Holmes in at the MK Marathon Weekend, inviting them to join their community movement, On the Move.

Over the past two years, the On the Move initiative has raised over £138,000 for local and national charities, and this year the team focus their efforts in supporting bereaved children in Milton Keynes, alongside much loved MK charity Harry’s Rainbow, who offer vital support services to children who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

Among many support services offered, the charity provides families much-needed time together in their Rainbow Retreat holiday home in Chamber Sands, monthly Rainbow sessions where children who have experienced similar loss can come together.

Odette Mould, founder of Harry’s Rainbow, said: “Being chosen by Rightmove is an incredible opportunity for Harry’s Rainbow. Not only to partner with a national organisation to raise the vital funds we need to support bereaved children, but also to raise awareness of child bereavement, which is our core aim. I am delighted to be joining the On the Move team and urge anyone to join me; the VIP package and meeting Kelly Holmes will be the cherry on the bakewell!!”

Jason Charles, Event Manager at Rightmove at their head office in Caldecotte, Milton Keynes said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be supporting such a wonderful cause. This is a charity that touches so many lives, and we see the massive difference their support makes to families going through really, really difficult times”

“And to get a national legend like Kelly Holmes joining our team is something that’s gotten all of us buzzing.”

Dame Kelly Holmes, will be wearing the team shirt and leading the team on race day, and Rightmove invites anyone interested to join their On the Move team, and run together with the Olympic champion.

Holmes will also be hosting an exclusive event in February, offering runners who sign up to the team the chance to draw directly from her experiences as a multi-gold-medalist.”

Sign up is free, but with limited spaces, so those interested are encouraged to join as soon as possible.
