Teddy bears’ picnic at intu Milton Keynes

If you go down to intu Milton Keynes on Saturday 8 June, you’re sure of a big surprise … for every bear that ever there was will gather there for certain because, that’s the day the teddy bears have their picnic!

The charity teddy bears’ picnic is being hosted by intu Milton Keynes as part of intu’s ‘One Great Day’ event to raise money for MK Hospital Charity and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Charity.

The fun will take place from 11am-4pm – with the picnic itself running from 12-2pm. Families and their teddies will gather to enjoy a fabulous picnic, complete with games, face painting and, of course, cake! Whether you bring along a picnic from home, or grab a bite from one of intu Milton Keynes’ great takeaway food retailers – such as WrapChic, Made in Sud, Churros Mexicanos, Pret, Starbucks or Five Guys – you’re guaranteed a good time.

Guests are asked to make a small donation, which will be split equally between the two charities. Milton Keynes Hospital Charity raises money for all wards and departments at Milton Keynes University Hospital, to help improve patient experience. GOSH is the hospital for seriously ill children, and its charity helps fund research, family support, refurbishments and life-saving medical equipment.

Kirsty McGiff, marketing manager at intu Milton Keynes, said: “This family event is not only going to be a lot of fun, but it will also be extremely rewarding knowing that it’s got such a good cause at its heart. We hope to see plenty of families there and lots of smiles, plus we hope to raise plenty of money for these two very worthy charities!”
