MK Lit Fest Spring Festival: 3 – 6 April 2024
MK Lit Fest returns with an exciting and wide-ranging Spring Festival celebrating everything bookish or wordy, with a wealth of writer events and conversations, writing workshops and fabulous children’s sessions. Join us in MK Central Library and Waterstones Midsummer Place to meet renowned authors, discover new favourites, get books signed – or develop your own writing skills.
Authors appearing include Russell Jones, Polly Toynbee, Green Party peer Natalie Bennett, Francis Spufford, David Wilson and MK’s own graphic novelist Paul Rainey, plus writing workshops on memoir and plotting, the awards ceremony and anthology launch for our Tales from the City Writing Competition, a panel discussion on fiction and form with five authors in collaboration with the Open University, childrens’ events with Alex Falase-Koya, J.J. Arcanjo and Kelechi Okafor, and new writing from Ghusoun Rahhal and Caroline Davis inspiring by Westbury Fabric and Fibre Guild and MECG’s Connecting Threads exhibition.
