Pret a Manger at intu shopping centre has joined forces again with Willen Hospice for this year’s charity event, MK Midnight Moo, which takes place on Saturday 14 July.
They have supported the event for the last ten years and will once again be staying open through the night to serve event volunteers, supporters and staff.
The restaurant will be providing breakfast snacks and hot drinks for walkers as they complete their challenge – a ten mile walk under the stars.
They join a team of supporters already on board, including Specsavers, intu and MKFM. All were on hand for a taste test this week along with Willen Hospice mascot Florence the Cow (refers to image).
Manager of Pret a Manger, Katya Soothill said “Our shop is located at the start and finish of this incredible event, and it’s the perfect opportunity for us to show our continued support for our local hospice and join in the amazing atmosphere on the night”
The hospice’s flagship event attracts over 1200 ladies every year, as they walk to raise the vital funds needed to continue to offer specialist end-of-life care. This year’s theme is ‘Sparkle under the Stars’ and participants are encouraged to dress up in tiaras, glitter and fairy lights to make the occasion as much fun as possible.
The charity needs to raise £3.6 million from the local community every year to ensure they can continue to offer end of life care to patients in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. Events like MK Midnight Moo are a great way for the public to support Willen Hospice.
