Woughton on the Green Community Orchard will once again host Apple Day later this month, promising a family-friendly celebration of nature, community and, of course, apples.

The free event takes place on Saturday 18 October from 12–4pm, with an afternoon of apple-themed activities, live entertainment and local food.

Visitors can discover the orchard’s many varieties of apple, join The Parks Trust’s Outdoor Learning Team for crafts, or take a guided tour with the Mid Shires Orchard Group. Activities include face painting, storytelling, and making your own apple bird feeder to take home.

Live music begins at 2pm, alongside food stalls serving seasonal treats and warm drinks. A bubble performer and even a giant apple catapult will add to the fun.

“Apple Day is an event that many of us look forward to throughout the year,” said Amy Gerhard, Events Assistant at The Parks Trust. “It’s a celebration of both nature and community, where visitors can explore this magical green space, learn about the heritage of apples and orchards, and enjoy lots of apple-themed crafts and activities.”

The event is organised by The Parks Trust, the independent charity that cares for more than 6,000 acres of green space across Milton Keynes.
