Christmas at centre:mk 2025: The festive season just got a little more magical

If there’s one thing Milton Keynes does brilliantly, it’s Christmas – and this year, centre:mk is going all out. From Friday 21st November to Tuesday 24th December, Middleton Hall will transform into ‘Starlight Square’, a shimmering wonderland of twinkling lights, festive rides, and the UK’s largest indoor Christmas Grotto – featuring none other than Peter Rabbit and Friends™.

Partnering with Penguin Books, the beloved Beatrix Potter characters are making centre:mk their new winter burrow, bringing a brand-new, heartwarming story to life. And yes, you’ll want your camera ready for this one.

A new festive adventure with Peter Rabbit and Santa

Step inside Santa’s Grotto and the magic begins. You’ll first meet Mrs Rabbit, who has a little festive dilemma on her paws – Peter’s lost all the Christmas presents! It’s down to the children (with a bit of help from their grown-ups, of course) to follow clues through the snowy forest and secret tunnels, searching high and low to save the day.

Then it’s time to roll up those sleeves for a spot of festive baking – decorating gingerbread biscuits for the Christmas feast – before the grand finale: meeting Santa himself for a chat, a photo, and a special gift. Each child leaves with their decorated biscuit and a sprinkle of Christmas magic.

Santa’s big arrival and the sparkle of Starlight Square

Santa officially arrives at centre:mk with a free parade through the mall, kicking off the celebrations in true festive style. Expect smiles, music, and a few surprise guests along the way. (Hint: the selfie points scattered across the centre make for the perfect backdrop – don’t forget to tag @centremk!)

And he’s not exaggerating. Beyond the grotto, Starlight Square will be packed with festive fun – from a Virtual Reality sleigh ride and Victorian carousel, to an old-school Helter Skelter, train rides, and a Christmas Market full of independent local traders.

Add in thousands of sparkling lights, towering trees, and delicious festive scents wafting through the air, and you’ve got yourself the ultimate Christmas day out – all under one roof.
