Footasylum steps into Centre:MK
Posted 6th April 2017A joint venture between Hermes Investment Management and AustralianSuper has announced a new opening for street and sportswear fashion retailer, Footasylum at centre:mk, Milton Keynes.
The new 4,992 sq ft store is set across the ground floor at 66 Midsummer Arcade, adjacent to Swarovski.
Established in 2005, Footasylum stocks a wide range of footwear, clothing and accessories, trading from over 40 high street stores across the UK. Its offering includes leading sportswear giants such as Nike and Adidas.
Kevin Duffy, centre director commented: “As a leading retailer for current sportswear fashion, we are thrilled to add Footasylum to the fantastic line-up at centre:mk. Following a string of recent openings, this latest addition will enhance the strong retail and fashion offer ensuring we continue to cater for the wide and varied demographic of visitors, especially in this 50th Anniversary year for Milton Keynes as a destination.”
Glen Dickinson, Head of Retail at Footasylum, added: “With a large catchment area and location in the heart of Milton Keynes, centre:mk was the perfect and obvious destination for our new store. centre:mk benefits from an impressive footfall, as well as increased investment and regeneration in the centre which only adds to the experience further.”
This news follows the announcement of a £60 million investment programme for regeneration at the centre:mk over the next three years. Significant enhancements have also been made to centre:mk’s brand line-up over the last 18 months including Kiehl’s, Molton Brown, The White Company and Pandora who have all opened new stores on Sunset Walk. In addition, Italian restaurant Ask has recently opened its new restaurant opposite John Lewis in Middleton Hall.
