Local Beauty Salon to raise money for Brain Tumour Research at open house to celebrate 15th anniversary
Posted 14th May 2019Buckingham based beauty salon, Harmony Skin and Beauty Therapy will open its doors to the public to celebrate its 15th anniversary and raise money for the Brain Tumour Research charity in memory of a long-standing client who sadly passed away in March.
Taking place on Saturday 18th May, between 11am – 4pm guests can receive free express treatments and a complimentary Dermalogica® face mapping – a skin analysis technique that allows specialists to prescribe a targeted skincare regime for an individual’s unique needs. Plus, anyone attending will be able to take part in competitions to win products or treatments and sip on some tasty bubbles.
Salon owner and skin specialist Shweta Kapur comments: “We are over the moon to be celebrating our 15th anniversary! Our clients mean everything to us, so we are pleased to be able to combine our birthday event with fundraising for such a deserving cause, in memory of our lovely client who we miss very much.”
Shweta added: “Please pop along and support us on Saturday 18th May – we would love to see you there!”
Paula Rastrick, community fundraising manager for Brain Tumour Research in the Central Region, said: “We are very grateful that Harmony Skin and Beauty Therapy have chosen to fundraise for our charity as part of their 15th birthday celebrations. It is very sad that they have lost a client to this devastating disease. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this terrible disease.”
Harmony Skin and Beauty Therapy has gained a reputation as one of the most progressive beauty salons in the Buckinghamshire county with a focus on advanced, non-invasive treatments to rejuvenate the face and redefine the body including cellulite-busting endermologie and facial-toning CACI treatments. They also offer traditional beauty treatments including gel nails, hair removal, spray tanning and massage.
