The Henry Allen Trust – Carols In The Car
Posted 26th November 2020To bring some Henry’s Happiness and Christmas Cheer to everyone in what has been a difficult year, The Henry Allen Trust are hosting a Carols in the Car concert.
Team Henry have joined with Thrift Wood to bring some fun, laughter, and to create some magical Christmas memories.
On Thursday 3rd December 2020, Thrift Wood will be transformed into a live drive in carol service with some super special surprises too.
Due to the pandemic all our events have been cancelled and Henry’s fundraising is beyond difficult. We are struggling to continue to help and support families battling childhood cancers and thought we would bring some Christmas magic to Milton Keynes with Henry’s Carols in the car.
Tickets are now on sale! Entry cost is £20 per vehicle and occupants are free to wrap up warm and bring chairs to sit outside their vehicles in their designated bay.
Every vehicle will be allocated a time slot to visit Thrift Woods onsite Christmas shop which is full of magic and all things Christmas.
Please be sure to bring a mask with you to enable you to visit the shop.
Social distancing will be adhered to and hot beverages will be available to purchase.
To book your space please email: events@thehenryallentrust.org.uk
About The Henry Allen Trust
The Henry Allen Trust was founded in memory of Henry Allen who lost his battle to STAGE 4 MYCN AMPLIFIED HIGH RISK NEUROBLASTOMA, a childhood cancer in October 2013 to bring ‘happiness’ to children and families battling childhood cancer. Dawn, Mark and everyone involved with the trust have worked tirelessly to ensure no family is alone during their journey.
The Henry Allen Trust is there for these families from initial contact, all the way through the rest of their journey, be it treatment, remission or palliative/end of life care and beyond. The Trust do this by providing treats and wishes, financial assistance and emotional support to the families as well as holding a monthly THAT Support group where families come together to enjoy quality time with each other and share their experiences. The Henry Allen Trust also work with hospitals providing care packs, toys, arts and crafts, ward visits and even specialised equipment.
Every year The Henry Allen Trust hold various events to FUNdraise vital funds to allow the trust to continue its work supporting children, teens, young adults and their families battling childhood cancer, however, due to the current Covid-19 pandemic much of our fundraising has been cancelled and our income is down a third. Team Henry have been working tirelessly thinking of new and exciting ways we can raise the much needed funds to continue our vital work.
Our goal is to launch 11,000 balloons to raise £44,000 which will fund our treats and wishes programme for a year, enabling us to spread some Henry’s Happiness to families battling childhood cancer.
The Henry Allen Trust provide Treats and Wishes and Financial Grants to children and families battling childhood cancer. Our Treats and wishes programme provides a much needed reprieve from the seemingly endless hospital visits – allowing children, teens and young adults to be children once again while our financial grant provides much needed financial assistance to families who, despite their best efforts, are struggling with everyday expenditure.
