Where to go pumpkin picking in Northamptonshire and MK

PYO pumpkins are back this Autumn and are the perfect excuse to pick up a pumpkin just in time for Halloween.

Whether you’re looking for something to do this half term with the kids or fancy making some pumpkin soup, here are some places to go across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.

Saxby’s Cider

After last year’s fantastic event, Saxby’s Cider is reopening its farm once again for PYO pumpkins. The pumpkin picking opens from Saturday 16th October and will be open at weekends, then every day throughout half term. Their cider bar and shop will be open which will be serving their award-winning cider as well as teas, coffees, soft drinks and hot food. Plus, they have an impressive pumpkin display for you and the little ones to take lots of photos. Tickets are just £2.50 per car and must be booked online in advance via their website.

Overstone Grange Farm

The popular family-run Overstone Grange Farm will open again this year for visitors to get their hands on a selection of pumpkins. There will also be games and mazes on-site to keep the little ones entertained. They have over 30 varieties to pick from and are open every weekend in October and every day during half term 25th – 29th October. Sessions will need to be booked in advance and are £2.50 per ticket or £8 for a family ticket. You’ll have to be quick as tickets are going fast!

Mini Meadows Farm

Join Mini Meadows Farm for some spooky fun from 17th – 31st October. You’ll be able to pick your own pumpkin and then head back to the carving station to get creative. They also have a “House of Spooks” which is new for 2021. Designed with little ones in mind, the spooky fun includes a midnight forest, a ghost village and the house dungeon. You can also end the day with a visit to see the animals such as cheeky goats and crafty llamas. Tickets are required which you can book online in advance.

West Lodge Farm Park

West Lodge Farm will be hosting its own Halloween festival and pumpkin patch. There’s a huge range of activities including: pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, a spooky maze, animal petting, a spooky tractor ride and lots more! Tickets start from £5 and must be booked online in advance.

The Patch MK

The Patch MK is just a short drive from Northampton and their huge patch is one not to be missed. They have a whooping 80,000 pumpkins to choose from! On their patch they have hot and cold drinks, food, delicious cakes and mulled apple juice. There are some play areas for the little ones and plenty of fantastic photo opportunities. Tickets can be booked online but you’ll need to be quick as they are  selling fast.
