Willen Hospice offers July memorial service for families and friends

Posted 9th June 2023

Family and friends whose loved one has died under the care of Willen Hospice are invited to join a memorial service on Monday 3rd July at 7pm.

The multi-faith service, led by the Hospice Chaplain, Sarah Crane, will include a reading of the names of those who are being remembered, as well as photos to celebrate their lives.

There will also be an opportunity to light a candle in memory of a loved one. Refreshments will be available after the service. Children are welcome to attend and there will be craft activities for them to take part in.

Hosted in Hospice’s Wellbeing Centre, the service will be run on a quarterly basis from July onwards, giving the local community a regular opportunity to remember a loved one cared for by Willen Hospice.

“The Memorial Service provides a moment of comfort for those manoeuvring their way through the experience of grief,” says Alison Facey, Willen Hospice’s Spiritual Care Lead.

If you would like to attend the service, please visit www.willen-hospice.org.uk/news/memorialservice and fill in the online form by the end of Monday 26th June. You’ll then be contacted by the Chaplain directly to arrange any photos you’d like shown at the service.
