Zip up your memories: Milton Keynes wardrobe tales take centre stage this July
Posted 22nd June 2025
That battered denim jacket of yours? It’s practically begging for a close-up.
(And yes, the faded elbow patches are part of the charm.)
Step into Who’s in Your Wardrobe? – the summer get-together where fashion meets memory, and the catwalk is paved with personal stories.
From Monday 14 July to Thursday 17 July (5 pm–9 pm, Unity Place Community Hall), a crew of gently eccentric Dutch artists from Zwermers will guide you through playful, low-pressure workshops that rummage through the real treasure trove: your memories. Expect laughter, the odd “I’d forgotten I still had that!”, and a surprising amount of self-discovery – no modelling swagger required.
Then, on Saturday 19 July, everything spills into the light with two joy-fuelled sharings (12:45 pm and 3:30 pm, Station Side Foyer). It’s not haute couture; it’s your couture – a celebration of the stories stitched into every hem, sleeve and stubborn coffee stain.

Need-to-knows (the quick-fire version)
• Do I have to come every night? Ideally, yes – but if life happens, try to make the first and last sessions.
• Food situation? Bring your own or grab a bite from Unity Place’s cafés; a kitchen’s on standby.
• Bring clothes? Nope. Wear whatever feels like you and we’ll take it from there.
