Horizon Radio is celebrating a milestone moment as it takes to the FM airwaves in Milton Keynes. The station can now be heard on 105.5 FM – a frequency with a long local heritage, once home to The Point Radio and originally Secklow Sounds.

For listeners, this means Horizon is now available on both FM and DAB across the city, adding to its services on 104.7 FM and DAB in Northampton and on DAB in Leighton Buzzard.

Launched just last year from its sleek Midsummer Place studios, Horizon has quickly become a trusted local voice, mixing the biggest hits from the eighties to today with a strong focus on community stories, events, and causes.

Managing Director Chris Gregg explains:
“When we launched Horizon Radio, our aim was to create a truly local station that captured the spirit and creativity of Milton Keynes. Expanding onto FM in our home city is a huge step, helping us connect with even more listeners. We’re delighted to bring Horizon to 105.5 FM alongside our DAB service as we continue to grow.”

Listeners can enjoy a 24-hour line-up featuring familiar voices: Tony Dibbin and Emma Saint at breakfast, Mikey Faulkner and Dan Mayo through the day, plus the Top 40 on Sunday afternoons. Alongside chart favourites, the station provides local news, live music sessions, grassroots sport coverage, and features on the arts – making it a vibrant hub for entertainment and community life.

The move marks another chapter in Milton Keynes’ radio story, giving the city a bigger, broader Horizon.

Listeners can now tune in across Milton Keynes on 105.5 FM and DAB, in Northampton on 104.7 FM and DAB, as well as online, via the free app, and on smart speakers.
