Willen Hospice are encouraging local people to apply for a charity place to run in the London Marathon 2024. A charity place is a guaranteed spot in the London Marathon, in return for a minimum fundraising ask of £2,500. This gives local people the chance to run in the one of the world’s most iconic events, while raising money for a charity that benefits people in their community. Professional Milton Keynes group Alina Orchestra has created a special concert in honour of the Coronation of HRH King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen Consort. The performance will be held on Friday 5 May to launch the coronation weekend’s festivities. Cascading poppies are being projected from the roof of Milton Keynes Theatre to commemorate Remembrance weekend, honouring the men and women who have served, and continue to serve, during times of war and conflict.
