Fantastic Christmas trees this December
Posted 6th November 2024Yule be wowed by these tree options…
They are only with us for a short while, but smartly dressed trees bring Christmas alive and deliver a warming glow.
A fabulous fir or sensational spruce is, for many, the best bit of our seasonal decorations, and if you make a trip to Stoke Goldington Christmas Trees you’ll be able to collect all you need to give your abode the wow factor.
Stoke Goldington Christmas Trees also help with a small number of potted trees that can be popped into the garden once the tinsel comes down and the boxes of choccies are ditched in favour of New Year resolutions.
Its plantation is rooted with thousands of Nordman Firs and homegrown Norway Spruce, and they’ll have a size to suit – from 2ft teeny’s to 14ft giants.
If picking a tree is a family tradition, you’ll all be made welcome on site to make the decision – simply make sure to swap your sliders for your wellie boots ready to stroll around and make your choices.
Trees might be at the heart of the business, but they also stock a wonderful range of wreaths, tree stands and logs and kindling.
The log-cabin shop will tempt you too, with its Fruity Farmer homemade gins and liqueurs – they boast 15 fruit infused flavours to choose from, and four more infused rapeseed oils. Perfect for those unexpected gift giving moments, Secret Santas…or just to treat yourselves at the end of another long day!
Apple & Blackberry, Gooseberry and Quince are among the gin liqueurs, or maybe you’d rather a Blackberry Whisky Liqueur, or a Mulberry Vodka Liqueur. The range is full of lip-licking yummy flavours.

Tree-mendous way to support Willen Hospice
When the festive firs have played their part at the centre of the home and time has been called on their welcome, there is the question of what to do with them.
Willen Hospice to the rescue! The charity has announced that, once again, it will be hosting its Christmas Tree collection between January 3 and 5.
For a suggested donation of £10, volunteers will collect your tree from outside your property.
It will then be taken to be chipped and given a new lease of life – as mulch on both public and Parks Trust land.

All potted up and ready for inspection, Duston Parish Council has a wonderful weekend coinciding with the start of Advent, which promises to bring the festive feels, and cater for all.
As part of that offering, the council is holding A Very Merry Christmas Tree Festival. Duston Community Centre is expecting to have 30 woody plants dressed by community groups and individuals.
When: November 30 & December 1, 11am-3pm
In Newport Pagnell, trees will be standing tall at its annual Christmas Tree Festival, which is hosted in the marvellous setting of St Peter & St Paul Church, between December 6 & 8.
The tradition sees businesses, schools, organisations, charities and individuals dress the trees with their own unique designs.
It is free to visit the church and check out the community’s creativity – and with around 50 trees expected, it’ll be quite the spectacle!
When: 10am-4pm on Dec 6 & 7,
11am-4pm on the 8th
Olney’s Christmas Tree Festival will be held over the weekend of the Dickens of a Christmas festival.
There is no charge for visiting the show, or indeed for participating – simply take along your own decorated tree and let it be part of the festivities.
Refreshments will be served and you can make your own decoration, while the church is filled with choir songs.
If you’d like to, you can add to the church’s memory tree, remembering loved ones.
Last year, this event attracted more than 70 trees from community groups, and 2000 people checked out the results, raising a pretty penny for charity. Help them raise even more this year.
