Local business supports Hospice with Van

A new Willen Hospice delivery vehicle has taken to the roads thanks to the generous support of Milton Keynes based Brian Currie Van Centre.

The company has gifted the graphics on the sides of the van, which plays a vital role in helping Willen Hospice to raise awareness and communicate fundraising messages to a wide audience in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

Des Conway, Head of Business at Brian Currie Van Centre said “We are only too pleased to support Willen Hospice and feel it’s important that we contribute back into the local community. Like Willen Hospice, we have been around for over 40 years, and we’ve known staff who have been cared for by the charity.

Mark Rawlins, Associate Director of Commercial at Willen Hospice said “Our relationship with Brian Currie Van Centre goes back more than 15 years. We’re extremely grateful for this gift as it means we can free up funds to care for our patients at the Hospice and in their own homes.”

The vans are used to collect large items from people donating furniture for resale, helping with house clearances and delivering purchases made from any of the five furniture shops; Buckingham, Bletchley, Olney, Kiln Farm and the new Clearance Outlet.

Willen Hospice is grateful for the level of support shown by local companies and invites any other businesses that would like to be more involved in a local charity to contact them by emailing corporate@willen-hospice.org.uk.
