Posted 3rd March 2025
The Henry Allen Trust has launched its 11th annual Easter Egg Appeal, calling on the local community to help bring joy to children battling cancer this Easter.
The Milton Keynes-based charity, founded in memory of Henry Allen, is once again seeking donations of Cadbury Creme Eggs, Easter eggs, Easter confectionery, brand new Easter bunny cuddly toys, Easter games and arts and crafts to create special hospital toy packs for young patients.
Businesses, schools, supermarkets, clubs and individuals are encouraged to get involved by collecting donations or signing up as collection points. Those wishing to support the initiative can also purchase items via The Henry Allen Trust’s Amazon Wish List. Full details can be found at www.thehenryallentrust.org.uk.
Dawn and Mark Allen, who founded the charity in honour of their son Henry, are urging the community to help spread ‘Henry’s Happiness’ by ensuring children and their families receive a much-needed boost this Easter.
“With your support, Team Henry can put smiles on faces and create magical memories for families facing the toughest of battles,” said Dawn Allen.
About The Henry Allen Trust
The Henry Allen Trust was established in memory of Henry Allen, who passed away in 2013 following a battle with stage 4 high-risk MYCN-amplified neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer. The charity provides vital emotional, practical and financial support to families navigating childhood cancer, ensuring no family faces their journey alone.
Through treats, wishes, financial assistance and dedicated support groups, the Trust offers comfort to families at every stage, from diagnosis to remission, palliative care and beyond. It also works closely with hospitals to provide care packs, toys, ward visits and specialised equipment.
The Trust relies on fundraising and donations to continue its essential work. Events such as the Easter Egg Appeal play a crucial role in ensuring ongoing support for children, teenagers and young adults affected by cancer.
