Weight loss means gain for charity!

Posted 7th January 2017

A team of six Cambridge Weight Plan Consultants based in central Milton Keynes, set their customers a “clothes raising” weight loss challenge that ran over the past 2 months. As their weight loss meant that they were quickly out shrinking their clothes they created an initiative to donate their clothes to local charity MK Act.

In just 2 months the slimmers managed to shift an impressive amount of weight and dress sizes! Many slimmers even managed to drop more than 1 size during the period thanks to following the Cambridge Weight Plan, which provides flexible weight loss programmes with 1:1 support for women and men.

One member from the team of Cambridge Weight Plan Consultants learned about MK Act after becoming a member of the networking group Women In Enterprise, MK Act was their 2016 charity of the year.

MK Act is a charity, which works with over 100 families every day to help them move on from fear and abuse. They have been providing safe emergency accommodation in Milton Keynes for families escaping domestic violence for over 30 years.

Fran and Marta, 2 members of the team, were delighted to present all the clothes to Isabel Binns, refuge coordinator, on Thursday 6th October. Mk Act is eager to support women into education and training and is trying to collect clothes that would be suitable as work attire or interview clothes. The many clothes collected will be invaluable in helping them start up this project.
