Posted 25th February 2019

Willen Lake, Milton Keynes’ most popular park, is gearing up for the start of the new leisure season by creating up to 100 jobs, suitable for adults of all ages and abilities, and launching a selection of new activities.

With Willen Lake offering such a wide variety of attractions both on and off the water, employees are needed for roles covering everything from wakeboarding supervisors, watersports instructors and Treetop Extreme instructors, to lakeside assistants, boat hire staff and cleaners. Those keen to apply for any of the positions available can do so online; www.willenlake.org.uk/discover-willen-lake/careers/current-vacancies/

The recruitment drive comes as Willen Lake confirms its programme for the season, which begins in April 2019 and runs until the end of October 2019.

Alongside popular watersports such as stand-up paddleboarding and canoeing will be a further activity for those visiting the site to enjoy; powerboating. Those interested in this exciting sport can book Discover sessions via the Willen lake website; www.willenlake.org.uk.

After the success of its multi-activity club for children, Willen Crusaders, the team at Willen Lake plan to launch a Junior Sailing Club, for children aged between eight and 14 years old who want to get involved in sailing regularly.

This club will aim to improve participants sailing skills, working alongside the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme.

Furthermore, the packages available at high ropes course Treetop Extreme are being reworked slightly to offer an enhanced customer experience. This will include the addition of the climbing wall at the start of each package as standard, giving customers the opportunity to try another challenge!

Finally, an upgraded birthday party package for children under the age of 13 has been launched at Splash ‘n’ Play. This enables guests to enjoy private hire of the outdoor splash park for an hour, finishing the session with a party bag and ice cream for each attendee.

Rob Wood, General Manager for Willen Lake, commented: “As we leave the winter months behind us and start to enjoy the warmer weather, the team at Willen Lake is gearing up to make this the best season yet.

“We’ve revised the programme to add some exciting new activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy and are looking to recruit up to 100 new people to help us meet demand and provide all our customers with an exceptional experience. We look forward to welcoming you to the lake!”
