Geeks, glitter & a whole lot of cosplay – Milton Keynes Mega Comic Con is back!
Posted 2nd August 2025
Mark your calendars – Sunday 10th August is going full fandom at the Arena MK.
If your ideal summer’s day involves lightsabres, Pokémon cards, and high-fiving a stormtrooper (because honestly, who doesn’t want that?), then you’re in for a treat. The Milton Keynes Mega Comic Con is rolling back into town – and yes, it’s bringing the full nerdy circus with it.
Now in its third fabulous year, this fun-sized but mighty convention is all about good vibes, great cosplay, and zero Comic Con stress. Think family-friendly chaos in the best possible way – colourful, inclusive, and brimming with things to see, do, snap selfies with, and maybe even take home (hello, traders hall!).
So, what’s in the geeky goodie bag this year?
Where do we even start… once you’re through the doors, everything’s included. Yes, you read that right – no extra charges to duel with a lightsabre, snap a pic with a TARDIS, or spin around in a 360° video booth pretending you’re in The Matrix. Kids and adults alike can enter the cosplay comps (cape or no cape), and there’s even a chill-out period before general entry for those who need a bit of breathing room.
And oh boy, the characters. Captain America? He’s there. Harley Quinn? You bet. A Dalek or two spilling some hot gossip? Absolutely. Whether you want to pose, play or just people-watch, it’s basically like walking into a living comic book – only better, because you’re in it.
Traders galore (seriously – over 200 of them)
From retro toys and rare collectables to quirky art, fan merch, and those little Funko Pop heads you swore you’d stop buying (we don’t judge) – the shopping game is strong. Pokémon card fiends, your moment has come.
Cars with serious movie cred
Yes, Lightning McQueen will be revving it up alongside Bumblebee (both vintage and modern), plus KITT from Knight Rider, the TMNT van, and even a ridiculously cute Pikachu car. Basically, it’s a petrolhead’s nerdy dream.
Striking Events, the friendly masterminds behind it all, have been spreading pop culture joy since 2022 – and their roots go deep in MK. They’re the same crew behind those nationwide Pokecon shows and the recent horror-fest Horrorfied (which starred actual Freddy Krueger, no less).
So, whether you’re a cosplay pro or just want to drag your kids somewhere they’ll be too excited to argue about snacks – this one’s for you.
Tickets are on sale now – and trust us, you don’t want to miss the biggest, boldest, and most brilliant Mega Comic Con yet.
Striking Events – your friendly neighbourhood Comic Con crew. Capes optional. Fun guaranteed.
